VOA: Israelis Vote in Tight Parliamentary Election
JERUSALEM - Israelis are choosing a new parliament Tuesday, in an election that has been heightened by a tight race between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party and a center-left alliance led by led by Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog.
Voters went to the polls early, and in large numbers, leading election officials to predict turnout could be reach an all-time high.
The latest pre-election surveys for the 120-member parliament showed Netanyahu's Likud party trailing a few seats behind Herzog's center-left alliance.
