Reuters: After Iraqi forces take Tikrit, a wave of looting and lynching
On April 1, the city of Tikrit was liberated from the extremist group Islamic State. The Shi'ite-led central government and allied militias, after a month-long battle, had expelled the barbarous Sunni radicals.
Then, some of the liberators took revenge.
Near the charred, bullet-scarred government headquarters, two federal policemen flanked a suspected Islamic State fighter. Urged on by a furious mob, the two officers took out knives and repeatedly stabbed the man in the neck and slit his throat. The killing was witnessed by two Reuters correspondents.
WNU Editor: These news reports will only guarantee one thing .... the Sunnis in Mosul (and elsewhere) are now all going to fight to the death to protect their lives and properties from these Shiite militias.

A platoon of Americans does not share a combat outpost (COP) with a platoon of Iraqis, while be cavalier about Iraqi lives.
Likewise American infantrymen do not patrol with Iraqis and be similarly cavalier.
I know what the ROE was for artillery and it was not loose. You had to have eyes on and if a civilian wonders into the vicinity, the fire mission was scrubbed.
I also know that Al Qaeda would car bomb open markets (souqs). They did so at Ramadi.
They also took over a civilian hospital and kicked out civilians and used it strictly for Al Qaeda fighters. That was real humanitarian of them
My proof is that the Anbar tribes came over to our side not Al Qaeda's side, which is significant considering that were were not co-religionists.
