Business Insider: China just carried out its first-ever evacuation of another countries' citizens

BEIJING (Reuters) – A Chinese naval frigate has evacuated 225 foreign citizens from strife-torn Yemen, its foreign ministry said, marking the first time that China’s military has helped other countries evacuate their people during an international crisis.

Ten different nationalities were among the evacuees picked up on Thursday afternoon from Aden, Yemen’s second city, and transported to Djibouti, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on its website late Thursday.

The ministry said foreign governments – Pakistan, Ethiopia, Singapore, Italy, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Britain, Canada and Yemen – had requested China’s help. A spokeswoman said it was the first time China had carried out a specific evacuation of foreign nationals from a danger zone.

WNU Editor: This is very telling .... China evacuates its citizens and foreigners from Yemen .... U.S. citizens feel abandoned .... WNU Editor:
This is becoming typical of U.S. main stream news coverage .... very little if any news media coverage of this story .... and almost none on U.S. citizens being stranded.

Why are American citizens there in the 1st place?

What is their nature?

Still unless they are a security threat, they should be evacuated.

If for no other reason, then the loss of face or worse to America.

Plus it is the right thing to do.
