Covering The War In Syria

Vocativ: These Guys Risk Their Lives To Film Daily Attacks In Syria

As the civil war in Syria drags into its fourth year, a group of Syrian and American journalists under the name Aleppo Media Center capture the daily violence tearing the country apart. The frequent attacks by the Syrian government aren’t covered in the Western media nearly as much as threats by ISIS, says Ali Al-Zajel, cameraman for the center, which produces hundreds of images a day.

The Syrian Civil War between President Bashar al-Assad and rebel groups, including ISIS, has left more than 200,000 dead and forced 11 million people from their homes. Here’s a look at how the group navigates the day-to-day dangers of the war.

WNU Editor: What these people do everyday always amazes me. They do not do it for money or fame .... they do it because they want to and because it feeds their need to believe that what they are doing is making a difference ... and (in my opinion) it is making a difference.

Most of the people "covering the war" are Bashar Assad supporters. Until recently bore no cost to them and only financial benefit. Of course the media always told us that Bashar Assad's victory was imminent.

As for America, whether Bashar Assad wins or whether ISIS wins,. America loses. I think the appropriate saying, at least as far as America is concerned, is "out of the frying pan, into the oven." Essentially America loses regardless of the outcome here!!

With that said by supporting Assad the loss could conceivably be less bad. Assad is backed up by Russia the world's most powerful military force. It's inconceivable that Mr. Putin and Russia are simply going to allow Mr. Assad to lose anything. Furthermore its inconceivable the Russians are going to allow harm to come to Iran. As such, by backing the Russian/Iranian/Syrian position the United States could minimize its humiliation in these matters.

Every time you post B.poster it's about how strong Russia and China are. And how we should listen to both of them for the greater good.

No we should listen to Russia and when Assad is beaten Russia's going to lose a military port. And there's nothing the world's most powerful military force can do about it.
