More 'Security' For The White House
CBS: "Anti-climb" spikes to be added to White House fence
The National Park Service and the Secret Service plan to add spikes atop the White House fence.
The spikes, described to CBS News as "pencil protrusions," are temporary "anti-climb" measures.
The plan is expected to get the approval of the National Capital Planning Commission on May 7. Construction would begin thereafter.
Permanent security renovations to the White House complex are expected to be approved later this year. Construction would start in summer or fall 2016.

WNU Editor: On the one hand .... it is sad to see the "people's house" become more restricted and closed. But on the other hand .... in view of how dangerous the world has become .... a band aid to a very big security problem.
