Two Air Force nuclear missile launch officers who are facing drug charges related to ecstasy, cocaine and bath salts now face hearings to determine whether they will be court-martialed.
1st Lt Michael Alonso and 1st Lt Lantz Balthazar have been charged in cases stemming from an investigation that led to the disclosure last year of a separate exam-cheating scandal.
One of their fellow missile officers who was a target of the same investigation pleaded guilty to illegal drug use in January and was kicked out of the service, the Air Force said on Friday.

The USAF Nuclear Forces have not had a good decade,
From losing nukes, cheating on tests, to gambling addictions, porn watching and sexual assault, through to Millenial Christians longing for the End of Days and the Rapture being left in charge of the keys and codes.
Just another case of Empire rot.

Give everybody a drug test court Marshall and sack everybody that tests positive, from the top down.
And it wouldn't hurt for the commander and chief to get off his ass go to the base and let these bath salt smoking retards know how much a disgrace they are to this country....but as you know Jay liberals are to good for that.

But the problems in the USAF's Strategic Wing is systemic. they are on their 6th Commander in 5 years, ( forced retirements) and can't manage 6 months with out a new scandal.
The SAC used to be the place you went for a quiet posting where you could work on your MBA on duty, then get out into the MIC.
Now it's full of slackers, cheats and petty criminals, ( some not so petty) in every rank.
It needs a top to bottom reorg with court marshals, Leavenworth time, root and branch, not the bandaid of handfulls of Dishonorable Discharges and Forced Retirements for Senior Staff.
