Bloomberg: Saudis Warn of More Attacks in Yemen While Backing Renewed Talks
Saudi Arabia renewed its aerial assault on Shiite rebels in Yemen and vowed to keep using force when needed, even as it backed the resumption of peace talks.
Fighter aircraft from the Saudi-led coalition attacked Houthi positions in the southern cities of Taiz and Aden, a day after the Saudis said their military operation would be scaled back, residents said by phone. Strikes late on Wednesday hit a weapons depot at a brigade base near Taiz seized by the rebels earlier in the day, sending billows of flame into the sky and scattering shrapnel across a wide area.
