6 Military Leaders Who Could Run For U.S. President In 2016

Brian Adam Jones, Task & Purpose: 6 Military Leaders Who Could Run For President In 2016

Amid 2016 presidential election buzz, here are six men of military background who could make a run for the White House.

There’s a troubling trend in American politics — the absence of military experience in our leaders. Many of America’s 44 presidents and commanders in chief were career military men, starting with Gen. George Washington and reaching a peak with a string of former Union Civil War leaders during reconstruction. But America hasn’t had a career military leader in the White House since President Dwight Eisenhower in 1960, and hasn’t had a president with active military experience in more than 20 years since President George H.W. Bush, a former World War II pilot with a heroic record, who lost re-election in 1992.

: The probability of these men running is zero .... but it would be interesting if they did.

Any of these men could still run. It's still early yet. I'd expect more candidates enter the race as time goes on. The only one I would say the chance is "zero" would be Col West. He's simply to conservative for most Americans or so it seems to me.

Is Kim or JZ running?

We would have 100% voter turnout, if they did run.
