Some of these “war woops” were merely animalistic screams or yells designed to send a chill up the spines of the enemy, but others had political or religious significance that transcended the battlefield. WNU Editor: My father fought north of Stalingrad .... I only heard him say it once “There is no land for us beyond the Volga.” .... years later it still gives me the chills when I remember how he said it.
