Washington Times: China to sell Jordan missile-firing drones after Obama says no to helping ally
China is offering to sell Jordan missile-firing drones to fight the Islamic State terror army, according to a U.S. congressman.
“I am now aware that China is presently in Jordan to discuss operations, logistics and maintenance associated with the urgent sale of weaponized unmanned systems,” Rep. Duncan Hunter, California Republican, said in a letter on Thursday to President Obama.
Rep. Hunter has pressed the Obama administration — to no avail — to approve the sale of Predator unmanned surveillance aircraft to the kingdom.
WNU Editor: I thought Jordan was a U.S. ally. Talk about alienating your friends.

That's the problem with innovation. They introduced the drones and their awesome power to the world and now the lid is coming off.
"I thought Jordan was a U.S. ally"
If the U.S. is willing to throw Israel under the bus then why would any other lesser allies think the U.S. will uphold their end of the bargain in anything??? Treaties, acts of aggression etc.. If it's coming at you, don't expect the U.S. to save your bacon.
Every man and his dog for himself these days, thank you very much Mr Obummer...
WNU Editor,
The Pentagon has a long list of requirements and conditions for arms exports, and then, certain technologies and dollar values have to go up the chain to a Senate Committee, for approval.
In the ME, one key condition, is that the weapons sustems sold in the region, cannot be technologically or qualitatively more advanced, than the weapons the Pentagon gives Israel.
While Turkey has 4 leased Predators and more on order, and the UAE has an order in, and Morocco has 4, all of these are the unarmed models, stripped of sensors and the GARadars, and the UAE model is the XP Export model that cannot be upgraded to carry weapons.
