VOA: Burundi's President to Address Nation

Burundi's president is scheduled to deliver a nationwide address Tuesday, amid increasing pressure for him to abandon plans to run for a third term.

According to his office, President Pierre Nkurunziza will speak on radio and television at 8 p.m. local time (1800 UTC).

Protests against the president resumed in the capital Tuesday, with demonstrators vowing to continue until the president withdraws his plan to seek re-election.
