Voice of America: US Officials Alarmed at New Syrian Rebel Alliance
GAZIANTEP, TURKEY - Battlefield gains by insurgents in northern Syria, in an alliance dominated by an al-Qaida affiliate, and hardline Islamist militias are presenting the Obama administration with a dilemma — whether to support the new insurgent momentum against President Bashar al-Assad or to have nothing to do with it, U.S. officials say.
While the victories last month and this month over forces loyal to Assad in Idlib province west of Aleppo may mark a turning point in the fortunes of the rebels in the long-running, bloody civil war that has left more than 200,000 dead, U.S. officials say they are alarmed at the composition of the alliance known as Jaish al-Fata, or the Army of Conquest, announced on March 28.

I do not agree fully with the video above, however it's a good summary. SAA doing very well on Idlib province, they keep advancing on the critical Shughul area, toward the hospital (which is luckly on the SW side of the town), and they also made some offense toward the road/route side between Shugul and Hama. The video of the VBIED attack on the hospital is a few weeks old, and SAA units still keep the building.
Rebels not captured Idlib province on the north by a blitzkrieg withing 6 weeks. They captured basically two town there, and one of that town were abandoned by it's defenders after 4 days of fightings. As far as I know not FSA led the attack on Shugul, or at least the videos show something different, and IF and Nushra unit's were the spear, FSA were sent to the flanks, because they has minimal value in an offense.
Qalamun (or to be more correct, the northern part of Qalamun) being cleared hill by hill, but it's still gona take some time, but the real critical front for SAA is now Palmady (east Homs, the area between Der-er-Zor and Homs), because IS made great gains there, since SAA sent Tiger's forces from here to Idlib.
