PJ Media: Dempsey: Global Security ‘as Uncertain as I’ve Seen in 40 Years’

President Obama’s outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff warned Congress today that the global security environment “is as uncertain as I’ve seen in 40 years of service.”

Appearing before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense for the last time, Gen. Martin Dempsey added that “we are at a point where our global aspirations are exceeding our available resources.”

WNU Editor: This is his last public appearance in front of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense .... and he said nothing new. The Wall Street Journal says that he will be remembered for leaving a "legacy of caution" .... Gen. Martin Dempsey Leaves a Legacy of Caution (WSJ) .... I say that he will be remembered more for overseeing a declining U.S. military while trying to manage multiple wars and conflicts with limited resources .... and failing at it.
