CBC: Military sexual misconduct due to 'biological wiring,' Gen. Tom Lawson tells CBC News
General made comments during exclusive interview with CBC's Peter Mansbridge
Sexual harassment is still an issue in the Canadian Forces because people are "biologically wired in a certain way," Chief of the Defence Staff Gen. Tom Lawson told CBC News on Tuesday, drawing outrage from opposition politicians and on social media.
After CBC aired excerpts of his comments, Lawson quickly backpedalled and apologized for what he called an "awkward characterization."

How are service people more likely to have more of this defective biological wiring than other people?
They might be under more stress due to deployments. There certainly a higher divorce rate. Or maybe a certain type of people go into the military.
Physically fit people are more likely to be ready to go than people who are under the weather.
It was a bad comment by the general, but people are to ready to jump all over a person's ___ than to have a discussion.
Like the RCMP, the Canadian Armed Forces, has since Somalia, been exposed as having created an institutionalize culture of sexism, racism, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and rape.
And it's not just women who are the victims.
Despite decades of commissions, complaints, law suits, trials and convictions, and promise after promise by the Top Brass to adopt a zero tolerance, the epidemic continues.
If this is the attitude of the Top Brass, we now know why.
Jay. I was eating dinner yesterday when I saw that news clip (talk about losing your appetite). This is not the first time that Gen. Lawson has shown a narrow view on this subject. I tend to not comment on Canadian military affairs (I know too many people who serve) .... but on this .... I cannot help myself. Gen. Lawson is not the right man for this job.
On a side note .... two years back my girlfriend's daughter was thinking of joining the cadets .... I said no ... because I have heard too many stories on how bad the culture is when it comes to women who want to serve in these institutions.
Blame civilians in general & civilian leadership.
Figuring this out is no harder than figuring out baby booms and baby busts.
They don't want to pay, don't want to pay attention or don't want skin in the game.
