Iraqi Military Operations At Ramadi Have Been Halted

Rudaw: Ramadi military operations halted

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — The Iraqi army’s military campaign to liberate Ramadi from the Islamic State has been halted, an official from the Anbar provincial council told Rudaw on Tuesday.

“Over the past three days there have been no advances or attacks against ISIS bases and position on the outskirts of Ramadi,” said Farhan Mohammed, a member of the Anbar provincial council.

Criticizing the mechanics of military operations against ISIS in Ramadi, Mohammed said, “Hashd al-Shaabi militants are not committed to the orders being issued by the leadership of the Anbar operation.”

Update: Iraqi commander who ordered troops to withdraw blamed for Ramadi's fall -- The Guardian

WNU Editor: No leadership, not enough fighters, a lack of resources, an opponent that is now well dug in, no desire to work with the U.S. .... from my vantage point it looks like Baghdad and many Iraqis have already "thrown in the towel".

The Iranians have recruted some 200,000 Iraqis to fight the Snackbars.

It's NOT that the Iraqis don't want to fight, it's that they don't want to fight for the US.

So if we train the Iraqi army that equals fighting for the US?

So take the setting of the Last Samurai starring Tom Cruise.

Since former Union or Confederate officer were training Japanese troops that means that the Japanese were fighting for the U.S> or perhaps the confederacy.

Lets torture the logic a little further. If the Germans sent trainers we could say the Iraqi Army was fighting for Hitler.

Pathetic

Neither the army nor the militia can do squat.

Many people we have trained were purged, because they were of the wrong religious persuasion.

Lack of a good showing by the Iraqi Army lies with the Shia leadership or lack of it.
