Pentagon Confirms Islamic Stzate 'Dirty Bomb' Claims

WND: Pentagon confirms ISIS 'dirty bomb' claims

Spokeswoman: 'We remain vigilant of this organization's intent to employ such weapons'

WASHINGTON – The Pentagon has confirmed to WND that the Islamic State has seized enough radioactive materials from captured Iraqi facilities to develop “dirty bombs,” just as ISIS’ recent English-language magazine, Dabiq, claimed.

The ISIS claim had alarmed the Australian intelligence service, which initially revealed the prospect that ISIS fighters have seized sufficient radioactive and biological materials from research centers and hospitals – which previously were under Iraqi government control.

Such seizures were first revealed at a meeting of the Australia Group in Perth, Australia, at which Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop expressed the deep concern of members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and regional partners over the potential use by ISIS of the seized materials.

Update: Islamic State latest threat confirmed by the Pentagon -- Examiner

WNU Editor: This is not the first time that reports of a dirty bomb capability by a terrorist group have been made .... but the Islamic State is unlike any terror group of the past, and what has to be deeply worrying is that they do have the resources, willing martyrs, and the will to do the extraordinary to attract worldwide recognition and new followers. The question that then needs to be answered is .... who is the target.

I dont think they are so stupid to use it against the US, the retribution would end the IS dream of a caliphate, Israel seems like a very dangerous choice as well. I suspect that they cannot refrain from using it after all their bluster unfortunately, but I think they will target will be a maximum impact factor, but without inviting any serious repercussions
