A Look At What Happens When You Fire A Shoulder-Launched RPG-7 At 16 Inches Of Bulletproof Glass

Popular Mechanics: Watch an RPG Blast Through 16 Inches of Bulletproof Glass

It's bulletproof glass—not rocket-propelled-grenade-proof glass.

As it turns out, bulletproof glass isn't exactly great at protecting against explosive projectiles like, say, a shoulder-launched RPG-7.

Russian YouTube channel Crash Zone recently took up the challenge, putting 16 inches of bulletproof glass up against the anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade. They also placed half of a dummy behind the makeshift shield, though the footage of the experiment makes it pretty clear that anyone back there would be, at best, devastatingly injured.
