Taliban Storm Afghan Prison Resulting In Scores Of Imprisoned Insurgents Escaping



Daily Mail: Taliban free more than 150 insurgents after devastating suicide attack on Afghan prison takes down main gates and kills guards

* More than 400 prisoners released by suicide bomb attack on Ghazni prison
* Officials described 148 of those freed as 'a serious threat to national security'
* Three Taliban insurgents died as well as four prison guards earlier today
* It was one of 10 coordinated attacks in different parts of the city overnight

Taliban fighters have freed more than 400 prisoners including 150 insurgents with a suicide bomb attack on an Aghan jail.

The insurgents wore military uniforms for the organised attack, in which four guards were killed and another seven were injured as the bomb took down the main gates on Ghazni prison. Three Taliban were also killed.

More than 400 prisoners were freed in the attack, and officials said that at least 148 of them are considered 'a serious threat to national security,' believed to be Taliban fighters. However, 20 of the facility's most dangerous inmates had been transferred the day before.
