VOA: West Sees Threat of Chaos in Russian Adventurism
WASHINGTON - Western officials are increasingly worried that Russian President Vladimir Putin's aggressive actions around the world will spread global instability and perhaps spark a backlash at home.
These officials believe Putin's real goal in joining the fight against Islamic extremists is to put Russia back at the center of the world stage. But they fear he is acting without a cohesive plan and is willing to gamble for any gains he sees within his grasp.
"Russia is increasingly assertive and unpredictable,” a NATO official told VOA on the condition he not be identified.

These people are saying what they are told to say or doing it voluntarily to gain points from the boss. If anyone knows about going at it with a "cohesive plan" it isn't the US. The US doesn't seem to know what would constitute a "cohesive plan" which is generally believed to be the reason for the mess.
It is interesting that the US was unable to pull together an effective coalition whereas Russia is attempting it and with some success.
Perhaps 'Do you realize what you have done?' Should become a university course in international mismanagement. The rock group The Guess Who named the statue of liberty "American Woman" as in "stay away from me". Maybe it should be renamed Miss Management USA.
So in an other words the West want to make me believe that Russia is a destabilizing force.
Well the fact are telling me something different.
Certainly Putin isn't exactly doing all he can to preserve global stability, and can be plausibly blamed for acting in the opposite direction. I do agree that on the whole it is global chaos that created both opportunity and justification for his actions, not the other way around.
Reading this kind of stuff is the mental equivalent of having one's fingernails pulled out.
