Time: 3 Million More Refugees Could Flee Syria, E.U. Official Warns

“The world around us does not intend to help Europe,” laments EU Council president

Up to 3 million additional refugees could flee the fighting in Syria, E.U. Council President Donald Tusk warned in remarks to European lawmakers Tuesday.

The wave of refugees could worsen a migration crisis that has put pressure on European border facilities and strained relations between EU member states. There are currently around 2 million refugees from Syria in Turkey.

WNU Editor: I call this a "shake-down", and it is working because Turkey is about to get a lot of money (and who knows what else) .... EU seeks Turkey help to block migrant flows, offers cash (Reuters). Unfortunately .... this is not going to solve the migrant crisis .... not even close. While these EU politicians may feel that by giving Turkey some money they will be able to solve the problem .... the migrants who are fleeing to Europe will receive zero of this money, and their agenda is far different that what the Turkish government wants.
