The U.S. and Russia are set to hold talks to avoid clashes in the skies above Syria after it emerged opposing jets are carrying out air raids so close together their pilots can see each other.
Talks between the two countries will be held today after the Pentagon said its pilots made visual contact with Russian aircraft on Saturday.
It comes as thousands of Iranian troops today joined Russian aircraft and Syrian Army troops in preparation for an offensive near the ISIS stronghold of Aleppo.

Aleppo is an 'ISIS stronghold'?
IS actually just re-entered Aleppo by taking advantage of the Russian-backed offensive targeted at the rebels.
IS had previously been expelled from the Aleppo countryside by the rebels.
