Another Russian Intelligence Leak? Recent Putin Military Briefing Video Shows Russian Artillery Units Located In Syrian Combat Zones

Reuters: Army map suggests presence of Russian artillery unit in central Syria

Military chiefs briefing Vladimir Putin on operations in Syria showed him a map with a reference to a unit in the center of the country that matches a Russian army artillery unit, suggesting the Kremlin's involvement may be deeper than previously thought.

Moscow, which is conducting air strikes in Syria, has repeatedly said Russian troops are not taking part in ground operations. If the unit is part of the Russian military, it would mean Russian forces are operating well outside the zone where Moscow says its troops are present.

The map was shown on Russian state television footage of a briefing at defense ministry headquarters on Tuesday evening, when Putin was being shown how the Kremlin was intensifying its operations against Islamic State.

WNU Editor: The above video is the one that shows Russian military units located in Syrian war zones. Was this leak done deliberately? As I said in an earlier post today .... it appears that Moscow has (recently) made the decision to be more open on what their military is doing.

One thing I find interesting is the tier of empty seats above the level Putin's sitting on. Other than that the color coding of the services is of some interest and of course the pairing of the desks. All over the house huh, chalet too?

Actually no .... the chalet has the forest. Moscow yes (when I am there).
