Washington Free Beacon: CIA: Leak of Nuclear-Armed Drone Sub Was Intentional

Timed with stepped-up Moscow opposition to U.S. missile defenses

U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that Russia’s recent disclosure of a nuclear-armed underwater drone submarine was a deliberate leak, according to analysis of Russian video news reports and official Moscow statements.

The Russian government-aligned NTV television station revealed a secret document during a Nov. 10 broadcast of remarks by President Vladimir Putin criticizing U.S. missile defenses.

The document shown during the broadcast revealed images of the drone submarine, including its nuclear warhead and nuclear power plant and two larger submarines used to transport it.

WNU Editor: I disagree. I have seen many incidences where Russian secrets have been exposed accidentally .... much to the chagrin of Moscow. But it is also true that in past year I have seen the Russian government and military becoming not as sensitive to their secrets as they use to be. My guess is that they have made the calculation that in today's world of social media and instant communications .... secrets can never be kept long, and the benefit of exposing them .... especially to your own public, is more of a positive rather than a negative. And as for "Russia's nuclear-armed drone" .... when it became exposed by Russian television the reaction became one of .... "so what" .... which being Russian I know is a typical Russian reaction to when you have "been discovered".

To make my point, here is another BIG Russian Navy secret that was accidentally exposed .... Russian Car Magazine Accidentally Publishes A Photo Of Top Secret Russian Sub.
