Filming a report in areas controlled by the Syrian regime is not easy. First of all, you must obtain a visa. In my case, the procedure took three-and-a-half months. I had lost all hope when on September 30, I finally received the phone call to tell me that I had obtained the precious sticker.

In the picture above it looks like ole Assad has his mouth full of something he can't decide whether to swallow or spit it out.
An OK expose but really heavy on the "it's all dictator Assad's fault" narrative. Seems to me the people concerned about preserving Syria's sovereignty and heritage are in line with the government.
Assad has a weak chin, but his portrait shows him with a strong one.
