Islamic State affiliate again says it brought down Russian jetliner that crashed in Sinai.

CAIRO—The Egyptian affiliate of Islamic State on Wednesday made a fresh claim of responsibility for downing the Russian jetliner that crashed in the Sinai Peninsula on Saturday and said it would reveal further details of its involvement in due course.

The slow trickle of information on the cause of the crash, coupled with a quick claim of responsibility by Sinai Province, has led to fears that the jet was deliberately taken down.

On Wednesday, the British government said it was suspending flights from Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt to the U.K. because of information the aircraft may have been brought down by an “explosive device.” The doomed Airbus A321 jetliner had left Sharm el-Sheikh bound for St. Petersburg.
