The Atlantic: Report: Israel Strikes Target in Syria ... Again
Media in both countries are reporting that Damascus Airport was hit by Israeli planes.
Over the course of Syria’s four-and-a-half-year-old civil war, Israel has quietly been drawn in at times. It occasionally treats wounded Syrians in its hospitals and, according to reports, occasionally bombs weapon conveys or retaliates for cross-border fire.
On Wednesday night, Israel reportedly launched another strike against targets at or near the airport in the Syrian capital, Damascus, which is under the control of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
“Opposition media outlets [in Syria] reported that explosions were heard at the airport, followed by a power outage and the temporary grounding of aircraft,” the Israeli paper Ynet reported, noting a Facebook page associated with the Assad regime also claimed an attack has taken place. Notably, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in Washington, D.C., where he was having a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

IDF has bomb Damascus Syria, it means that they have engage with the Russians in a electronic warfare I believe that Russia has kasurka 4 mobile unit truck's in the area . can anyone else help explain tha.
Netanyahu went to Russia and met with Putin. He brought his top military and intelligence people with him. Putin is the most pro-Jewish person in memory to lead Russia. There are one or two explanations:
1. Russia and Israel are working together to limit any negative interactions in the air.
2.Stand off weapons were used such that the Israeli aircraft never posed a threat and were not targeted by ground based anti-aircraft systems.
It may be a case that Russia has not set up a "redline" yet, and is allowing the IAF a certain number of "strikes", before they view all IAF Aircraft as hostile, and clear their assets to shoot.
Could be.
Watching Israeli aircraft live on flight radar going into Egypt and Jordan and then going black. Aircraft appear to be coming from Negev. Lots of planes over several hours. IAF65 joins Allied1 and leaves Israeli air space. Several pairs.
Various Internet sources indicate fighters, transports, tankers, and intelligence aircraft. Possible tanker just moving around Israeli airspace. Of course it is reading tea leaves not having a reliable list of codes with associated aircraft. Could be very wrong on aircraft type but correct on leaving Israeli airspace with a purpose.
The IAF regularly overfly Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and the Sanai,
As all their airforces and air defences after '73 were reconfigured to defence, and are technologically and training wise, behind the curve, there is a resistance to "engage" what has become "normal".
Russia may be waiting for IAF aircraft to ingress over ISIS held areas, before shooting them down. That way ISIS get's the blame when the pilots are burned alive in cages.
They didnt bomb a damn thing. There was an explosion at a warehouse or some such place in Damascus. Past that, there is evidence that S400s have been deployed in country. They days of bombing Syria as one would tske the dog out for a walk are over.
