Marine Corps veteran Guy Valentino is attempting the impossible.

On Wednesday, to coincide with Veterans Day, the 37-year-old is working up a sweat hoping to accomplish something that has never been done before – 6,000 pull-ups in 24 hours, breaking the previous Guinness World Record of 5,801 in May.

Valentino, who spent 10 years in the Marine Corps infantry and now advocates for veteran fitness, teamed up with Spike's Veterans Operation Wellness to pull of the feat, and he's averaging an incredible one pull-up every 15 seconds
