Will The Chinese Version/Copy Of The F-35 Be Better Than The Original?

IBTimes: Chinese hackers stole designs of F-35 to build its fifth-generation fighter J-31: US

The United States reportedly has alleged that the designs of Lockheed Martin's F-35 were stolen by Chinese hackers to build the fifth-Gen Chinese Stealth Fighter - FC-31 Gyrfalcon, which commonly goes by the name of J-31.
According to a report published in Economic Times, US defence and strategic affairs experts have accused China of stealing the designs and implementing it on its so-called indigenously developed fifth generation fighter jet.

The American experts also have said Chinese hackers stole the designs in April 2009 from the servers of Lockheed Martin.

Since 2012, when the Chinese J-31 fighter made its maiden flight, aviation experts have commented on similarities that it shared with the F-35. A report in the Aviation Week had noted that even "the J-31's wingspan is an F-35-like 37.5 feet."

Besides that there are several other similarities such as the airframe of the FC-31 Gyrfalcon was similar to the F-35.

WNU Editor: Aviation Week's take on all of this is priceless .... China's New Stealth Fighter. Not a repeat from December 2010 (Aviation Week).

WNU Editor,

Looks like the J-31 has hurt a lot is the MIC's feelings.

While there are some similarities between the J-31 and the F-35, ( stealthy shape, size, 30 numbering series), they are very much different aircraft.

The J-31 is a highly maneuverable, air superiority aircraft, twin engined , that uses clean aerodynamics, a stealth shape and stealth coatings, to minimize radar cross section.

The F-35 is an unmaneuverable strike bomber, with a single engine, with highly compromised aerodynamics ( due to the STOL/VSTOL demands), that relies on a stealthy shape and being constructed of "stealth materials", to minimize radar cross section.

While the J-31 probably benefited greatly from the F-35's compromised security regarding it's technology, the J-31 is by no means, a "copy" of the F-35.

It's a different aircraft with a different role.

There seems to be a lot of "sour grapes" amongst the Geek Squads and the F-26net, as the J-31 appears more and more to be the sort of aircraft the F-35 hype claimed it would be, but isn't.
