Editor,
If there is one thing I admired about the Soviet Union, it was the space program and the people who worked in\ on it.
Thanks for this post,
I'm getting that book.
RRH. One of my uncles was involved in their military satellite and space program. He was a brilliant director and engineer. Hard drinking. Loud and arrogant. 3 marriages. To him .... nothing was impossible .... especially when it came to the exploration of space. And my cousins (from all of his 3 wives) hated their father. But for me .... I just loved my uncle .... we made moonshine together (Ukrainians and Russians call it Samohonka), we were amateur astronomers, and we loved cars. It was only after he had passed away that I learned that he was always praising me behind my back.
