Turkey Announces That It Will Continue Its Withdrawal Of Troops From Northern Iraq

New York Times: Turkey to Continue Withdrawal of Troops From Northern Iraq

ISTANBUL — Turkey announced on Saturday that it would continue to withdraw its troops from a military base in northern Iraq, saying that there had been miscommunication with Baghdad regarding the deployment of the forces, sent as part of a mission to train Kurdish and Sunni Arab forces in the fight against the Islamic State.

Turkey recently sent reinforcements to the base in Bashiqa, near Mosul, as part of an international training mission, sparking an angry reaction from the Iraqi government, which said it had never invited the Turkish force.

This week, Turkey withdrew some of the troops after talks between Turkish and Iraqi leaders. On Saturday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said it would continue to move its troops out of the camp.

It was not immediately clear how many troops would be moved.

I've never agreed with Canada being over there, but I'm out voted on the matter. May I humbly suggest that, since we just have to be in Iraq, let's pull a fast one and drop a beer fridge on the Turks "by accident".

When in Rome....

Bad plan RRH

The guy getting hit by the fridge will be declared takfiri and the rest of them will just open the fridge partake and stay longer.

It is important to note the number of Hezbollah and Shia militia uniforms in the video.

SALUTE: Situation, Activity, Location, Uniform, Time, and Equipment

And then I know a little more than what the SM knows to tell me or wants to tell me.

A week ago WNU ran a story that Hezbollah were taking some hefty casualties.

So we see Hezbo in Iraq. They are probably training the Shia militias like the Iranians are. They are also probably stiffening or advising the militias. All good to know. What I want to know is the arc.
