Britain is on the brink of launching airstrikes against ISIS in its Syria stronghold tonight as MPs lined up to support David Cameron's plan to defeat the jihadist 'death cult'.
At least 40 Labour MPs including Alan Johnson, Margaret Beckett and Hilary Benn are expected to join hundreds of Conservatives with the support of Lib Dems and the DUP to authorise bombing raids which could start within hours of the result after 10pm.
Ex-Paratrooper and Labour MP Dan Jarvis said ISIS are the 'fascists of our time' as he urged MPs to unite with Britain's allies 'in defence of our common humanity'.

It's actually quite the display of "terrorism" Theater.
The UK has deployed 8 Tornado's to Operation Inherent Resolve to bomb ISIS in Iraq, at a cost so far of €32 billion, and has killed and destroyed pretty much,.....................

Now they are deploying 6 Tornado's to join the other 8 in Malta, to "strike" at ISIS in Syria.
At that point, the RAF is "tapped out" for deployable assets to meet commitments.
I thought England was always ready to fight the last war. They don't seem ready to fight anything this time.

Ongoing operations in Iraq, (1991- ongoing), Afghanistan, (2001- ongoing), half a dozen other multi year "temporary" deployments, ( Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Lybia, etc), plus the new "forward" NATO deployments has ground down men, equiptment and morale.
Add in recessions, economic collapse, austerity, and the exponentionally increased costs for replacement equiptment, and lagging replacement timelines, ( f-35),
And eventually, you run out of steam, thus the British Aircraft Carriers with no aircraft other than helecopters.
