RT: Kerry is meeting with Putin after 'comprehensive' talks with FM Lavrov
Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding talks with Secretary of State John Kerry at the Kremlin, following the US official's talks with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, which the president said were "comprehensive."
Russia and the US are seeking solutions to the most critical crises together, Putin said at the start of the meeting, adding that he "is happy for the opportunity to meet and talk."
"Today you've had comprehensive talks at Russia's Foreign Ministry,” Putin said to Kerry. “Minister Lavrov has reported to me in detail on your proposals and on some issues that require additional discussions. I'm very happy with the opportunity to meet with you and talk."

WNU,
As mentioned before, Putin rarely has any folders, note pads, etc, in front on him in these meetings. What do you think the little pyramidal objects are on the table? They seem to have wires reaching toward the center of the table.
They will be mic/spkrs for teleconf facilities I suspect. In the boardroom of the business I work for, we have something similar.
I was about to say the same thing Anon. Thanks.

The smiles and high-sounding remarks disguise a very antagonistic and very dangerous state of affairs between Russia and the U.S. There is no "détente" or "reset". On one side of the table exists an angenda to see that Russia, independent, sovereign and territorially sound, has to go. On the other, an awareness of the exitential threat and a deep-seated, extremely determined will to ensure Russia's survival and prosperity.
Again, it's zero sum.
Thanks Anon.
RRH,
The fact that the US had to go Russia's house to talk, speaks volumes.
James,
Yes and no. Kerry took Nuland along so it was just jaw, jaw for the cameras, and a chance for Kerry to do his Christmas shopping on the taxpayers dime.
