From YouTube: North Korea is claiming that they successfully detonated their first hydrogen bomb. You’d think that the idea that they might have an H bomb would be somewhat alarming to those of us who are here on the West coast, but we went out on the street and it seems like if you ask people a question in a cheerful enough way, we will offer congratulations for just about anything.
WNU Editor: We are so doomed.

Glad I'm old, what can one say about people like this, they should not be allowed to vote.
I ask the same thing every day of my life, TWN.
Only delegates' votes matter in the end.
The delegates simply rubber stamp whatever the electorate votes for. In addition to the problems we currently have, perhaps the biggest problem is America at least has a very wealthy, very politically influential, very well represented in the media, very well represented within the government bureaucracy, and very well represented in high positions in the corporate structures minority that will stop at NOTHING to undermine ANY US military action or any other so called "get tough" approach against ANYONE or ANY country no matter how dangerous the US they may be. Until this group is dealt with effectively, any type of robust military action is all but impossible. (Such actions might be possible IF the enemy can be defeated quickly. Unfortunately at best defeating something like ISIS, Iran, or any thing of that caliber would, at best, take years and involve a huge sacrifice.)
