ABC News: Soldiers Continue to Guard Tomb of Unknowns at Arlington During Historic Snowstorm
The snowstorm bearing down on the nation’s capital is not stopping the small group of soldiers who continually stand guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery. Much as they did during Superstorm Sandy in 2012, Tomb Sentinels will brave the elements to continue guarding the hallowed memorial.
Since April 6, 1948, Tomb Sentinels from the Army's 3rd Infantry Regiment's "The Old Guard" have guarded the Tomb for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year regardless of the weather.
“These guys will be out in the snow, no matter what,” said Major Russell Fox, a spokesman for the Army’s Old Guard. “They love what they’re doing and they’re dedicated."
And while the rest of Washington may be dreading the storm, Fox said “a lot of the guys are looking forward to this and kind of excited about it.”

WNU Editor: Living in Russia and Canada .... I have had more than my share of snowstorms. And truth be told .... I love the energy and intensity that a snowstorm brings. Walking with a GF years ago in Red Square in the middle of a blizzard. Being stuck with a dozen friends in my chalet in the Laurentians of Quebec because 3 feet of snow fell down in 36 hours .... and only being rescued 4 days later . Roughing it in Montreal because of a 4 day ice-storm knocked out the power for a week with temperatures eventually hitting -20C outside. These are all memories that I will never forget, and that is why I envy these soldiers .... they are very proud of what they are doing, and this is an experience that they will remember and talk about for the rest of their lives.

despite the continuous churning out of crap administrations and the 99% of americans who would rather not fight for their own freedoms, the pride and devotion to liberty and respect for the fallen in defence of freedom in this country remains strong and as potent as was in the beginning.
