Times of Israel/AFP: Kerry: Hezbollah has 80,000 rockets, gets most of its arms from Iran

Speaking in Riyadh, secretary of state says US still concerned about some Iranian activities in other countries

Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah has more than 80,000 rockets, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, adding that most of its weaponry comes from its sponsor Iran, through Syria and into Lebanon.

“The United States remains concerned about some of the activities that Iran is engaged in in other countries,” Kerry told reporters, citing as an example Iran’s “support for terrorist groups like Hezbollah.”

80,000 rockets says the days of just running on in to Lebanon when the mood strikes are over.

Meanwhile, in other news, U.S. works with Saudis to support Wahhabi headchopping cannibal mutant "moderates" in Syria.

Oh, I guess that's really not news to most of us though....

So John Kerry can't comprehend why an Islamist terrorist organization could want weapons :)

Yes, sometimes the Israelis would just get a wild hair up their azz and then just go on a rampage in Lebanon.

Or it could be shelling and raids coming form Lebanese territory.

I have no doubt that the Israel army could beat the Jordanian Army, no problem.

But you see the Jordanians just don't go out of their way to provoke the Israelis.

The received common wisdom is that Israel got beat on 2006.

Maybe they did, but Hezbollah lost 600 fighters. How serious is that?

Well, if losing 1,000 in Syria is serious than 600 has to be pretty serious too.

Can Hezbollah stand to lose another 600 , while losing 1,000+.

Well maybe Nasrallah and oligarchs need to by up some land of some martyrs, who for some strange reason no longer have a use for it?

How much skin in the game does he have nowadays?

"“In Syria, Hezbollah has had to shift its main objectives to taking over territory and maintaining control over it, all while fighting quasi-conventional forces that use guerrilla tactics,” the report continues. “Against the IDF, the group was accustomed to fighting in small units on familiar terrain, but now it is deploying hundreds of fighters in complex offensive operations on unfamiliar territory. For Hezbollah’s commanders and fighters, such experience can change their views on the most effective way to win a battle, and Russia’s involvement means that they are learning such lessons from one of the best militaries in the world.”

The report concludes that the experience Hezbollah is gaining from Russia and Iran has made it one of the most effective fighting forces in the tangled Syrian conflict. Hezbollah fighters are getting so good that they’re reportedly growing frustrated by what they consider to be an inept Syrian army."

It's only a conspiracy when these sort of claims are against the West. One word......hypocrisy.
