China Deploys Fighter Jets To A Reclaimed island In The South China Sea
FOX News: EXCLUSIVE: China sends fighter jets to contested island in South China Sea
EXCLUSIVE: In a move likely to further increase already volatile tensions in the South China Sea, China has deployed fighter jets to a contested island in the South China Sea, the same island where China deployed surface-to-air missiles last week, two U.S. officials tell Fox News.
The dramatic escalation cames minutes before Secretary of State John Kerry was to host his Chinese counterpart, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, at the State Department.
Chinese Shenyang J-11s (“Flanker”) and Xian JH-7s (“Flounder”) have been seen by U.S. intelligence on Woody Island in the past few days, the same island where Fox News reported exclusively last week that China had sent two batteries of HQ-9 surface-to-air missiles while President Obama was hosting 10 Southeast Asian leaders in Palm Springs.

Well, they've definitely planted the flag.
I really don't give a flying F___ if China claims the South China Sea.
But if they are in this for the long haul they will share with Vietnam, The Phillipines and Malaysia. Otherwise, they are just going to step on it.
China is having some fun tweaking the Great Satan in its (China) home area, the islands it is claiming. Yesterday it's a new radar, today new planes....drip, drip, drip.
Washington is at wit's end wondering what to do next. If the Pentagon doesn't control every sea, even a China Sea, then it doesn't control all the seas and that means that the world isn't like it used to be, now with Washington not in charge of everything. It's a failure of leadership, that's what it is.
It's more than tweaking.
The US "Plan" for confronting China militarily was to blockaide China from the sea, fight on the Chinese coastline, and "win" the war by basically strangling China's imports and trade.
China,is well aware that in the past, everytime there has been a major change in the World Economic Order, there has been a major war, where in the loser(s) have attempted to prevent through war, what they cannot achieve through economic and trade policies.
For a long time now, they have been building major land based trade routes to reduce their reliance on shipping, worked on AD/AS programs to move US Strike Forces further away from the Chinese Coast, and are now building a AD/AS system "at sea", to push the US Strike Forces even futher out to sea.
Now, instead of the "fight" being along the Chinese Coast, with the South China Sea controlled by the USN, now the fight will be to close the South China Sea.
Yawn howabout sailing an ageis 6 nautical miles to call it.
Nothing will happen zilch.
South china sea is very important for all the neighbour countries of china like japan, Brunai, Phillipines, Vietnam, this is a important root for treding with other nations if china captured this area they will not allow other nation's ships travel from there. It strengthen china more for stopped that US will have to take hard steps.
Correct time to call the bluff and they will fold.
