Iraqi officials refuse to touch that question.
A spokesman for Iraq’s embassy in Washington told Military Times that neither the ambassador nor his staff could provide “informed responses” to questions seeking clarity on Baghdad’s willingness to host more U.S. troops. “I can try to request clarification from Baghdad,” said Ali Al-Mawlawi, the spokesman, “but I can’t guarantee that we’d get an on-the-record response.”

Lol, I don't blame them for being reluctant.
But wonder why Russia never offers boots on ground for Iraq. Im pretty sure they won't committ war crimes like the US did, or at least they won't do it as much as the US did anyway. And I'td give the Russian soldiers some experience as well
Russia does have "boots" on the ground, mostly in the form of Russian Marines and some Spetnaz. They have been "caught" on camera in advisor positions with some of the SAA offences.
The key difference is the Russians have learned, the hard way, through the various "seperation" Wars, how to let/help the "locals" take the lead in ground combat, while providing the "technical" support that the locals lack.
jay. Russia has a long history of battling Islamic insurgencies. That is my 23:00 post.
