Daily Mail: NATO warns Turkey it can't count on support in a conflict with Russia as tensions escalate
* European diplomats warned that Ankara cannot invoke Article 5
* Germany says that NATO cannot 'pay the price for a war started by Turks'
* Turkey has called for international ground operation in Syria
* Russia called Security Council meeting to halt Turkey's shelling of Kurds
European diplomats have warned the Turkish government that it cannot count on the NATO support should the conflict with Russia escalate into an armed conflict, according to German media.
Ankara has called for a joint ground operation in Syria with its international allies, insisting it is the only way to stop the country's five-year war. Saudi Arabia has said it would be ready to take part in an international force to be deployed in Syria.

WNU Editor: NATO will "defend and protect" Turkey, but they are not going to get dragged into a conflict that is started by Turkey. If that is not a blunt warning to Turkey .... I do not know what is.

Yugoslavua was morally right on every level possible the others errrrrr.....
The United States is telling Turkey to get a better casus belli.
Sure...Turkish troops inside Syria will be on their own, but what happens when Incirlik is hit by Russian weapons and other NATO countries suffer casualties or...God help us...Russian troops enter Turkey or attempt to seize the bosphorus?
Maybe we will all get lucky and a Turkish instigated war with Russia over Syria will be used as a pretext to kick Turkey out of the NATO club.
Unfortunately I think it is more likely that should Turkish territorial integrity and national existence be threatened, regardless of who starts the war, NATO will change its tune.
To Erdogan that means NATO will still protect him and keep him propped up just like Russia is doing to Assad.
RRG,
Jim Crow laws in the United States are long over and the nation feels tremendous guilt over this and relentlessly flogs itself regularly for past sins that were not committed by Americans today. Furthermore given the tremendous cultural changes since this time there is no possibility of such laws ever being implemented or even considered against African Americans ever again. Indeed I do wonder how long America must be flogged for this one. I think this will go on as long as race pimps deem it necessary to keep this one alive so as to enhance their financial bottom lines and white Americans generally feel guilty about their heritage and are always willing to prostrate themselves in vain hope of somehow finding forgiveness for past sins from people who were not harmed by them.
The same generally applies to foreign policy as well. A nation such as America who is generally ashamed of itself and lacks the basic self confidence other nations take for granted is easily manipulated. While Jim Crow laws are not relevant to this situation, I did deem it necessary to make as much an attempt as possible to cut through the anti-American messaging that dominates much of the media. Very respectfully, especially people not from the United States often get a very jaundiced message about how things really are in the United States.
It's interesting that you would refer to Turkey as America's hoe. It seems this is the other way around and instead America is Turkey's hoe. If NATO will indeed not support Turkey in a conflict with Russia, this would be an excellent sign. Perhaps America is getting tired of being Turkey's "hoe" and coming to the point of deciding it is not going to play any more.
Russia is the most powerful military force in the world. Articles that appear to purport otherwise are superficial at best and often times outright misleading. There may be a time and a place where such a fight might be necessary. Turkey is NOT worth it. The same dynamic pretty much applies to anything in Europe. If America has decided it is tired of being Turkey's hoe, this would be a good sign. Perhaps we can even move toward the complete withdrawal of America from NATO altogether.

B.
My reference to Jim Crow is how it applies to foreign policy. Not only of the U.S, but also its allies, cronies, "hoes" and vassals. Look at my previois posts, I am every bit as critical of Canada (my country) and Europe as I am of the U.S.
Jim Crow in international relations is the blood relative of Jim Crow in the southern U.S. Most especially the "I may do as I wish to and with you. If you raise a hand to me, even in self defence, you will be punished". Simply put, I'm better than you, well, cuz I says so.
It's b###$--- and the big issue with Russia, Syria and others today is not because they are anti denocratic/humanitarian or some other rubbish---if they were any of these things and in the service of "western" interests they'd be our boy Leroy, like Somoza, Mobutu, Pinochet, Duvalier, Hussein and a whole gaggle of others-- it is because, like Sophia in The Colour Purple, they defied "their betters" and retaliated when attacked. How dare they?!
If there were to be a phrase sunming up everything Russia et al have done since Georgia '08 it would be "How dare they?!"
On Turkey. Yes, America's committed hoe. From missiles on her soil pointed at the USSR to nod nod wink wink traffic of "moderate" head choppers back and forth across he borders since '11 with the full knowlege and consent of her pimp daddies in America and Europe, to helping stir the pot in Ukraine and China. So she's acting up a bit today. So what? Hoes do that ftom tome to time. If there was a theme song for U.S., Euro, even Canadian foreign policy it would be Big Daddy Kane's "Pimpin' Ain't Easy".
I live in the US more than I do in Canada. Its not as if I have a "jaundiced" or uninformed opinion.
Self loathing? Shame? Guilt? Is that why "Sweet Home Alabama"continues to be one of the most popular rock songs in the U.S. today? Now tell the truth.
And is that why Mr. Make America Great Again and Mz We Came We Saw He died are the chief contenders for the Presidency?
Foolishness.
Withdrawal from NATO? Now there we can agree and Canada should do the same. Let the skinny pants in Europe handle their own defence. When they decide to get all ridiculous, play dressup with Opa's SS uniform, pick a fight with ethnic minorities and their Russisn neighbours, let them get their asses kicked.
If there should be a free market for anything, it should be a free market for fascist, irredentist, classist bully ass kickings as well as aggressors posing as victims. In fact, ass kickings( I'll settle for hard labour because, lets face it, a big part of what's wrong the the world today are people who hate work as the devil does holy water and figure the rest of us are here to support/serve them) for everyone who thinks they're better, well, cuz they sayz so.
RRH,
Very respectfully if your first 5 paragraphs were to be rephrased with America in the position you seem to place the other countries in, it would be much closer to being accurate. As for the reference to the missles, during Cold War 1 the US faced the USSR which was the most powerful military force the world had ever seen. Both nations likely felt they needed to work together in order to have a credible deterrent.
Your view of America may not be jaundiced. This may have been the wrong language to use. With that said anyone whose main source of news is the mainstream media will likely have a jaundiced view or at least a misinformed view. As I don't think this is your main source of news, it may be inaccurate to refer to your views toward America as jaundiced.
Very respectfully you don't have a very limited understanding of America. Maybe you don't interact with ordinary Americans enough. Perhaps you're interactikns are limited to the elites. I'm not sure. In sny event "Sweet Home Alabama" is not a popular song as few people would even know the song exists and even fewer have actually heard it, and even fewer still could name any of ghe lyrics to this song beyond the name. Now anythong to with "southern" culture especially "old" southern culture is pretty much loathed by Americans of most backgrounds. Misperceptikns such as this make it far easier to falsely attack the country. Now this is the truth.
Now why is Mr. Trump the current leader among the Republicans? I think it is because he understands the current open borders/uncontrolled immigration system is sucidal. Many people also understand this. Hence he resonates with a number of people. Also, as a former Democrat he resonates as well with a number of people since America is left of center politically.
Also, even a people who loathe themselves as much Americans do would like to feel better about themselves. Hence "make America great" seems to resonate. When "again" is added, this adds some more. People who loathe themselves are often easily manipulated.
As for Mrs. Clinton, she's largely being forced on the electorate by the Democrats. Since the people are going to be very reluctant to vote in enough numbers for anyobe from a party percieved to represent the "religous right," they have a great deal of leeway to do this. If Mr. Sanders had this support he'd "wipe the floor" with both of them cruising to election.
As to her "he died" comment, I think you are referring to the former Libyan leader. While I did NOT agree with the NATO decision to try and remove him, this had been a very dangeroys enemy of the US for a long time. As such, within the context it's not hard to grasp her frustration even though the statement was misguided and should not have been said. She also took much criticism in the world media for this. In contrast, had Libyan forces succeded in killing an American POTUS they'd have lkjely placed his head on a pole and displayed it as a trophy before a celebatory world mddia frenzy.
As for withdrawing from NATO, I'd like to see Canada, your country, take the lead on suggesting this. Since many Americans intuitively view Canadians as tgeir best friends, this would likely go a long way. I don't think America would even get article 5 treatment from this.
I meaned to say you do you have a very limited understanding of America. I apologize fjr any confusi!on.*j
I apologize for misspellings.
