Top Chinese Military Adviser Is Warning China To Be Prepared For War In The Korean Peninsula

Zhen Liu, South China Morning Post: China must prepare for war over North Korea, according to a top military adviser

A Chinese military adviser has warned China to be prepared for war in the Korean Peninsula, but not to sacrifice as much as it did in the 1950s.

Speaking on the deterioration of the security situation after North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s recent nuclear and satellite tests, Major General Wang Haiyun said in an article on Tuesday that China must “take strong counter measures” as it faced various threats.

“[China] must adjust the force deployment along northeastern borders ... and prepare militarily and diplomatically for all potential risks as soon as possible,” Wang said in the Global Times, a newspaper under the party mouthpiece, People’s Daily.

WNU Editor: The last thing that the Chinese want is a war on the Korean peninsula. It will be a lose-lose situation in every-way. So why the warning .... it  is a blunt Chinese message to the North Korean leadership.

A cornered rat is dangerous, to avoid a war someone will offer a way out.

100 families rule North Korea.

Plan A would be to threaten their existence.

Plan B would be to offer them retirement, if they stepped down peacefully.

With both plans I think it helps to appear crazier than Kim Jong Un.
