Scout.com: Armed Air Force Fighter Jets Will Patrol Skies Above Super Bowl
The Air Force jets will be protecting the game and enforcing an FAA established temporary flight restriction zone.
Armed Air Force fighter jets will be protecting Sunday's Super Bowl game from the skies above, working to ensure an FAA-established Temporary Flight Restriction for the area is upheld, service officials told Scout Warrior.
"They will go up and bastically patrol the skies to make sure there are no violators of the TFR (temporary flight restriction)," Maj. Katrina Andrews, Chief of Public Affairs for the 1st Air Force, Air Forces Northern, Tyndall AFB.
