White House Misses Deadline On Delivering Its Promised Islamic State Strategy To Congress

Washington Examiner: White House misses deadline to deliver Islamic State strategy to Capitol Hill

The chairman of the House Armed Services Committee said Tuesday that the administration is essentially sending troops into the "wilderness with a compass, but no map" after it failed to deliver a strategy to defeat the Islamic State by Monday's deadline.

The fiscal 2016 National Defense Authorization Act required the administration to provide a strategy to counter violent extremism by Monday, a deadline it missed.

Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, said the failure to come through is unsurprising, despite the administration's repeated assurances that its strategy is "well underway."

WNU Editor: So much for the White House's promise to deliver one to Congress. My guess is that they do not have a plan .... or if they do, they do not feel comfortable in giving it to Congress right now. On a side note .... very little if any main stream media coverage on this story.
