Washington Post: More high-ranking officers being charged with sex crimes against subordinates
The U.S. military has stepped up investigations of high-ranking officers for sexual assault, records show, curtailing its traditional deference toward senior leaders as it cracks down on sex crimes.
Since September, the armed forces have court-martialed or filed sexual-assault charges against four colonels from the Air Force, Army and Marines. In addition, a Navy captain was found guilty of abusive sexual contact during an administrative hearing.
Historically, it has been extremely rare for senior military officers to face courts-martial. Leaders suspected of wrongdoing are usually dealt with behind the scenes, with offenders receiving private reprimands or removal from command with a minimum of public explanation.

WNU Editor: Even with this increase in investigations and convictions, US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand still believes that these crimes are under-reported .... Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand: Pentagon is withholding sex crimes information (AP). What's my take .... the culture is changing .... the younger generation finds this behaviour completely unacceptable, and are far more vocal in denouncing it. Case in point .... a week ago I got into a political conversation with my friend's kids (and their friends) who are in their early 20s on Bill Clinton's sexual behaviour before and during his Presidency. Many in my generation (I am in my 50s) were disgusted with his behaviour, but many also gave Bill Clinton a pass when he was President. The difference with today's generation .... no one will give Bill Clinton a pass, and many .... when they learned how Hillary Clinton targeted Bill Clinton's accusers for ridicule .... are turned-off on her. As I said .... this generation has a different point of view.

I don't deny there is sexual assault in the military. But, living in the US my whole life I have seen the noble defense of women turn into political witch hunts engineers by Cultural Marxists crusaders. They have destroyed many traditional institutions like the family, universities, legal and political. Institutions that have taken Western Civilization 1000's of years to develop. The military is the ultimate prize because of its traditional male dominance. The push for women in combat is a major Marxist accomplishment. Now, to purge the non politically correct male officers and enlisted out or prevent them from joining is mission accomplished. And, the naive American male population capitulates once again.
Leftists misjudge one thing.
Women can be in the military and not bring about leftists ideals. The military has their own subculture and social network(s).
Marvists might think that putting women in the military drive a wedge that they can exploit. Many of those women are part or will become part of military families.
Much as marxists tried to outlaw private kitchens with private kitchen tables, they will fail in this endeavor also. They will find military men and women standing shoulder to shoulder. After all they are literally family and a separate culture.
There will be downsides to women in combat, but the military will make out better over time than the Marxists.
Sex scandals in the West and corruption charges in the East.
I was once very ill in Afghanistan. It became so bad that I passed out. When I woke up in Role 3 the first thing I noticed piled up on the shelves were rape kits (that's exactly what they were labeled).
The Marxists must have put them there.
