German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin
The Guardian: Russia ‘stoking refugee unrest in Germany to topple Angela Merkel’
Analysts at Nato centre claim to have found evidence of ‘information war’ over migration crisis with links to Vladimir Putin.
Russia is trying to topple Angela Merkel by waging an information war designed to stir up anger in Germany over refugees, Nato’s most senior expert on strategic communications has claimed.
The attempt to provoke the removal of the German leader, who has been a strong supporter of sanctions against Vladimir Putin’s regime, is said to have been identified by Nato analysts.
Jānis Sārts, director of Nato’s Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence, based in Riga, Latvia, told the Observer that Russia had a track record of funding extremist forces in Europe, and that he believed there was now evidence of Russia agitating in Germany against Merkel.

WNU Editor: This accusation/claim is bizarre. The Russian media may be publicizing the crime and social/cultural problems that are arising with the influx of a million plus refugees into Germany, but so is the New York Times and Spiegel .... Germany Has Changed. Does this mean that posting critical articles on a policy means that you are trying to overthrow the government? As I said .... bizarre.

Merkel needs to be toppled.
The truth will do that nicely.
Desperate propaganda from the Washington Post
I made a mistake Rod Rammer. The article is from The Guardian not Washington Post.
I will need to read the article time permiting. From name of this director of communications of NATO, I can correctly deduce in order of likely hood, 1.)he is not an American, 2.)his parents were not Americans even if he is, 3.)while unlikely he and his parents might be Americans his grandparents were not. This leads to 4.)his parents saddled him with an Eastern European name. Such people are not loyal to America generally do NOT have American jntersts at heart.
There DEFINITELY are exceptions. Such people who are exceptions would not choose to remain in Europe and they DEFINITELY would not operate out of a former Soviet Republic such as Latvia. As such, it seems reasonable to conclude this man DOES not have American intersts at heart and would GLADLY harm America to advance his own interests or those of his country.
As for Ms. Merkel, this is an enemy of America. She, her government, and her country actively sought to undermine our efforts in Iraq as well as our rnhanced interrogation techniques as we desperately sought to encounter existential threats to our nation. If anyone has sought to toople ber, she has sought to topple herself.
When the refugees started pouring in, I shouted at my smart phone/tablet/tv "TREAT THIS AS AN INVASION AND ACT ACCORDINGLY! !" They not only didn't do this but they welcomed the invaders in!!
If Merkel goes, good riddance!! Perhaps this is an area where new US leadership and Russia can work together. Russia is the world's most powerful country and will be for quite some time. Trying to find areas where we can work with them figures to be vitaly important in the coming years.
I'm kind of hoping "the deal maker" Donald Trump can be elected POTUS. A good place for him to start would be renegotiating these ridiculously one sided agreements witb NATO countries, Jaoan, South Korea, and a number of other countries where the US is making huge sacrifices while getting virtually nothing in return.
Russia is 'weaponizing' everything: robotic cockroaches, MS Word files, Jedi mind tricks, Soviet history and Syrian immigrants. Whatever one might think of.

Iquisitr sounds like the National Enquirer. It is a serious paper? You can get real news from the enquirer occasionally if you want to pick through tons of chaff.
Newsweek Used to be one of the 3 go to magazines back in the day. Might as well call it prog daily.
Well this is a real story:
