Britain faces threat of bigger and broader attacks as Islamic State attempts to wage war on western lifestyle
The UK is facing the threat of “enormous and spectacular attacks” by Islamic State as the extremist group attempts to wage war on western lifestyles, the national head of counter-terrorism has warned.
The Metropolitan police assistant commissioner, Mark Rowley, said in a briefing to journalists on the UK terror threat that while in recent years Isis had urged would-be jihadis to attack the police and military, its mission had since widened.

I have no doubt that the US military has invasion plans in a file for every country on earth including Canada. The Canadian invasion one would be titled Invasion Canada 2.0. You would expect such as part of the overall training and preparedness required by the military. I hope we have a more or less similar file designated as Defend Canada against the USA 2.0.
I'm sure Canada has plans should things turn sour with the US. I'm pretty sure these plans go far beyond simply defend Canada 2.0 and in to the realm of Invasion USA or something like that. I'm pretty sure Canada has some surprises for the US should it come to something like this.
Also, the US faces a level of often hostile media scrutiny that no nation on earth faces. As such, it is going to be harder for the US to have surprises in store of its own for adversaries or potential adversaries. Should it come to this I'm pretty sure Canada could take the US relatively quickly before the US could respond or even know what hit it. This will mean neutralizing the nuclear arsenal. I'm sure Canadian agents have plans for this should this be necessary.
Many countries, if not most, have some type of invasion plans for America. America has its own set of plans. For better or worse, this is what nations states do. It would seem logical that Canada and the US would behave as other nations behave whether right or wrong.
Russia and China the world's two most capable military forces seem to view the US as its main enemy. If adjustments to America or Canada's foreign policy could take place and we could flip these nations from the enemy category to friend or even neutral, this would be really cool!!
For what it's worth, I don't think an invasion by the US of Canada is likely. Americans intuitively view Canadians as their best friends and it is unlikely the military would obey such orders to invade Canada. Again, it is unlikely one would invade their best friend.
Now do Canadians hold the same view of Americans that Americans hold of them. I hope so but have my doubts. While I don't think an invasion of the USA by Canada is likely, it seems only slightly more likely than a US invasion of Canada. As such, I hope the USA has a "Defend the USA against Canada 2.0."
Oh my, what a revelation.
