American Trust In The News Media Is At An All Time Low

Chicago Tribune: Trust in the news media is being eroded by perceptions of inaccuracy and bias, fueled in part by Americans' skepticism about what they read on social media.

More frightening to me is the reliance on "Social Media" as an "Information" source; it continually astounds me what ordanary people are willing to believe and then regurgitate as fact or truth.

I'm constantly dealing with garbage like Zeitgeist, tales of the Illuminati, Reptillians etc. at work, social gatherings or from my kids' friends (my kids know better). It's little wonder that the people in control get away with so much $#/^ when so many folks are running around believing in Death Panels or Nazis on the datk side of the moon.
