i24 News: Iran vows to defend Muslim world against Israel as S-300 missile parts unveiled

Iran vows to protect Muslim countries who "face danger from terrorism or Zionism"

Iran revealed parts of its new Russian-made S-300 missile defense system during its National Army Day parade on Sunday, as President Hassan Rouhani vowed to defend Muslim countries against terrorism and Israel, the Associated Press reports.

According to pictures published by the semi-official ISNA news agency, S-300 missile tubes and the radar equipment were shown during the military parade held in southern Tehran, but the missiles themselves were not displayed, according to the semi-official Fars News agency.

In a speech broadcast live over state television, Rouhani praised Iran's role in helping Syrian and Iraqi government forces push back the Islamic State group and vowed to defend Muslim nations against the threat of terrorism and Israel.
