Report: Islamic State Has Executed 175 Kidnapped Cement Workers Near Syrian Capital

Daily Mail: ISIS has massacred 175 of the 300 cement workers it kidnapped outside Syrian capital Damascus, government claims

* 175 of the 300 cement workers feared to have been executed by ISIS
* Extremists seized the labourers from an area to the northeast of Damascus
* Taken near spot where militants had launched an assault on Assad's forces
* Hostages are workers and contractors of the Al Badia Cement company

ISIS fighters have reportedly executed 175 of the 300 kidnapped cement workers outside the Syrian capital Damascus, according to the Syrian state's military.

Extremists seized the labourers from an area close to the town of Dumeir, northeast of the capital.

The hostages were taken near the spot where militants had launched an assault against forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad earlier this week.
