A Terror PR Stunt That Goes Wrong At Cannes



Daily Mail: Cannes terror panic: Guests at the Film Festival cower in fear as masked men with black flags on their boats and suicide belts storm the resort – unaware that it was a PR STUNT

* Guests feared men wearing military clothing near the hotel were terrorists
* Cannes was placed on high alert after A-list celebrities arrived in the city
* The 'terrorists' were actors working for a French internet start-up company
* They were seen near a luxury hotel where George Clooney was spotted

A French internet start-up company 'stormed' a hotel favoured by Hollywood A-list celebrities near Cannes as part of an ill-judged PR stunt.

The company sent a rigid inflatable boat carrying a load of 'commandos' to the hotel.

Guests cowered in fear as the men, who guests feared were terrorists, approached.

Well so much for the claims by those in charge in Europe that there is "nothing to fear". And where was security? Especially if Cannes was on "high alert". Reminds me of a bunch of poultry.

Daily Mail do love a good title that grabs attention, even if it is totally bull.
