The Intercept: “American Sniper” Chris Kyle Distorted His Military record, Document Show
NO AMERICAN HAS been more associated with the Navy SEAL mystique than Chris Kyle, known as the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history. His bestselling autobiography, American Sniper — a story of honor, glory, and quiet heroism — has sold more than a million copies. The movie adaptation became the highest-grossing war film in American history.
“All told,” Kyle wrote in his book, “I would end my career as a SEAL with two Silver Stars and five Bronze [Stars], all for valor.”
But Kyle, who was murdered by a fellow military veteran several years after leaving the Navy, embellished his military record, according to internal Navy documents obtained by The Intercept. During his 10 years of military service and four deployments, Kyle earned one Silver Star and three Bronze Stars with Valor, a record confirmed by Navy officials.

A true American hero never forgotten

If he had distorted his record, we would have heard about this before his passing. As it is, he's unable to counter the lies with facts.
The media was unable to destroy him in life. Now they must do it after his death. His crime was breaking two basic rules. 1.) There's an unspoken rule but understood by all especially career soldiers. You NEVER seek publicity, grant interviews, write books, or memoirs about your experiences that might present you, your fellow soldiers, or the mikitary in general in ANY kind of favorable light and above all you DO NOT under ANY circumstances do ANYTHING that might mean making money as a result of your military service or present the appearance thereof. If you do, this media will come for you with the udea to utterly destroy you and anyone associated with you. Mr. Kyle broke this rule. 2. Chris Kyle was asdociated with Iraq and the surge that allowed American forces a face saving exit. Much of the mddia and numerous people in key roles in the American government had staked politcal and economic futures on a humiliating exit by America. Anyone associated with this can NEVER be forgiven by such people. Gendral Petraus could certainly elaborate on this.
Now that team Obama has foolishly recommitted us, such people may get their wish of a humiliating American withdrawal, however, even if "successful" Iran would be the primary benefactor. As such, there seems to be less opposition to current efforts.
Rest in peace Chris Kyle.
