From RFE: Many Russian entrepreneurs have learned to capitalize on the cult of personality surrounding President Vladimir Putin. Despite massive economic problems and alleged corruption, Putin remains wildly popular with rank-and-file Russians. One cafe in Siberia has gone as far as wrapping itself in all things Putin, along with a few jokes aimed at his perceived enemies. (Marina Myshko, Sergei Chudinov, Current Time, Krasnoyarsk)
WNU Editor: Groan!!!! Now you know what I must face when I make my annual visit to Russia. As to the question ... is Putin still popular in Russia .... the below video of Graham Phillips asking Russians on Red Square on what they think about Putin is accurate .... again .... this is what I have to face in Russia when I start criticizing Putin. On a side note .... Graham Phillips' Russia is horrible.

Obama's Hope and Change sell's everything from bumperstickers and buttons, to baby onesies and ice cream.
Anti-Obama sells pretty much the same crap, just with a different twist.
Sadly, you never see this sort of insightfull, highly investagative and well sourced jounalism about American political personality cults being exploited by crass commercial enterprises.
